Pro access

One well at a time is free and always will be. This page is for the people working through two hundred.

Who this is for

Title companies and landmen; rural lenders and farm credit; land agents and appraisers; operators doing diligence on a lease block; environmental consultants; county and district staff working a plugging programme.

What does not scale is one lookup at a time — and the figure that matters at scale is the one nobody publishes: how many parcels on your list carry a well that is inactive, or one the State already had to plug.

What we do

What it costs

The full field list, the measured fill rates and the order form are on the datasets page, which is where the dataset itself is sold rather than a service on your list.

The pages of this site are free and will stay free : an official fact belongs to no one. What is sold here is the compilation work — extracting the Kansas oil and gas well register, reconciling it, dating it, and delivering it in a usable form.

Resolving a list is not a title search and not an inspection. This register records what was reported about a well, not its condition today. A well shown as producing may have stopped; a well shown as inactive may have been dealt with. Nothing here is an inspection. And nothing we return establishes who is liable for a well: that turns on K.S.A. 55-179 and on the records, case by case.

Not a consumer reporting agency. This site and the datasets sold from it are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and must not be used to decide anyone's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. If you need a background check, use a screening company that operates as a consumer reporting agency.

Tell us the size of the list

How many parcels, how often, and what you need back. We answer every enquiry by hand.

No payment is taken here — an enquiry opens a conversation and an invoice follows. What we do with this.
